Circumstances change

Ten years ago it was hard to imagine that Ireland would return to rapid economic growth,

House prices had fallen, emigration was running in tens of thousands and unemployment was rising rapidly. The recession was deep and caused a great deal of hardship.

But the economy improved and we are close to full employment and investment across the economy has returned also. So everything has changed.

In your own life circumstances change also and spending some time giving though to the future is helpful.

It may be the need to invest in education to ensure your your skill set stays current, it may be planning for children's educational needs or perhaps your own retirement. It could be ensuring that you have adequate protection for the unexpected which could happen.

The important point is that things don't stay the same, they change, usually for the better but not always. So give a little time to thinking ahead, it will be time well spent.
