Confusing signals on property prices.
As more land becomes available in outlying areas,coupled with a slowing economy ,we would expect property prices in areas of significant supply to decrease perhaps in the region of 10%. In areas of restricted supply (close to established urban areas) we would expect price stabilisation at best. Our considered view would be to take your time in choosing your property as we see little upside potential in general. In regard to interest rates we believe that serious consideration should be given to fixing mortgage repayments.
